FORMER Dauntsey’s School student Lewis Prosser has accepted an offer from one of the top Spanish Premiere League clubs to play in Santander this season.

Prosser, who recently graduated with a BSC, and, as vice-captain, helped Team Bath to win the West Conference League in two of the last four seasons.

The midfielder, whose home is in Marlborough, said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to play in the Premiere League where the basic skills are exceptionally high.

“Hopefully it can act as another stepping stone to my goal of playing for Great Britain in the 2016 Rio Olympics.’’ Prosser, backed by Crosby & Lawrence in Marlborough and Wiltshire Council Leisure Services, will next represent Wales in the first round of World Super League matches in Cardiff.

The 45-times capped ex-Marlborough Hockey junior was voted player of the year last season and helped Wales U21s to a silver medal in the European Championships in 2010 and Great Britain U20s to bronze in the Youth Olympics in 2009.
