MARLBOROUGH’S unbeaten start to the Davis Wood League Premier Division Three campaign continued at home.
The hosts fashioned several excellent early chances, but were unable to convert and the teams went in to half time goalless Marlborough picked up the pace in the second half and took the lead after Chris Jones scored a low drag flick. Pushing further forward, Anil Sud furthered the home advantage with a reverse stick strike from close range.
City of Bath pushed on, enabling the home side to play on teh counterattack through Matt Way ‘s accurate passes.
One of these was latched on to by Matt Osbourne who effortlessly flicked the ball in to the corne.
A fourth goal arrived from Will Hughes’ thunderous strike, while keeper Matt Jones made several excellent saves at the other end.
