MARLBOROUGH’S men made a flying start to their premier Division Three campaign.
Anil Sud started the scoring from a short corner and soon added a second after some sharp work from Will Hughes on the edge of the D.
Will Seward pounced sharply to make it 3-0 before Hughes rounded off an excellent team move by slotting home Ed Gosling’s pass to give Marlborough a hefty lead at half time.
Plymouth visibly wilted under the scorching sun and Marlborough’s control continued as Seward was quickest to react to a goalmouth melee. Seward completed his hat-trick after a classy reverse stick strike a few minutes before the end.
