MARLBOROUGH bounced back from the previous week’s Premier Division Three derby defeat by West Wilts with a vital three points to keep their promotion prospects on track.
From the off Marlborough dominated the game, but were unable to take advantage before half time.
Another good start to the second half saw sustained waves of attack and Ed Gosling’s sharp reverse-stick strike found the bottom corner.
Marlborough continued to pour forward but were caught on the break as Hereford levelled.
But the visitors won the match after another devastating passing move gave Steve Way an unmissable chance.
