CORSHAM’S 100 per cent home record in the Davis Wood League East Central Two continued unchecked as they defeated Yate B 2-0.

The home side scored a goal in each half, Ian Gould flicking the second past the stranded keeper in the second half to keep his side top of the table.

Devizes claimed bragging rights in their Conference North derby at Swindon as they clinched a 3-1 victory.

Swindon dominated the opening stages but, midway through the first half, Devizes broke the deadlock as a brilliant aerial from Roger Edwards found Callum Lavens, who crossed for Nick Paget to smash home on the turn.

Devizes quickly added a second from a penalty corner as Ollie Smith crept in to deflect a Roger Edwards flick home.

Swindon were always a danger and deservedly pulled a goal back as Luke Ceijer dribbled through to score.

The second half was dominated by Devizes and a third goal was added from a diving deflection from Grant Humphries to send Devizes into their top-of-the-table clash with Cardiff Met this weekend in good spirits.

Marlborough maintained their own perfect record in Central One with a 2-1 success over Westbury and UB.

The home side began well and took the lead when Will Hughes scored a volleyed lob into the far corner.

Losing Matt Way to the sin-bin in the second period allowed Westbury a way back into the game with an equaliser.

But their hard work paid off when they won a penalty flick 10 minutes from the end, Chris Jones stepping up confidently to arrow the ball into the roof of the net.
