THE Wiltshire Ladies County Golf Association's Spring Meeting at Marlborough Golf Club saw home player Karen Gosling retain the Scratch Cup as a field of 108, from 17 clubs, took part.

This was the first of several combined events involving the junior girls with Laura Curtis (Cumberwell Park) winning Division One Nearest the Pin and Rosie McGrane (Tidworth Garrison) winning Division Two Longest Drive.

Gosling retained the Scratch Cup with a score of 83, on countback from Hilary Cargill (Chippenham).

The winner of the Handicap Cup for Division One was Amanda Milton (Marlborough) with a great score of 64. Cargill (Chippenham) and Natalie Condon (Marlborough) were second and third.

The Dorothy Dykes Cup for Division Two players was won by Ann Smith (Salisbury & South Wilts) with 93. Junior girl Rosie McGrane (Tidworth) came second, with Christine Davis (Chippenham) third.

The Taunton Handicap Cup for Division Two was won by Rachel Moran (Marlborough) with a score of 70. Smith and Davis (Chippenham) were second and third.

Chippenham (Cargill, Anne Fisher, Davis and Win Jones) retained the Peggy Mackenzie Trophy with a combined nett score of 290.

n THE North Wilts Adult & Junior Open saw Lee Church (North Wilts) and Ellie Hare (Whitley) win with 40 points, from Eddie Jenkinson and Jack Trew (North Wilts) on 39 in second on countback from John and Jake Russell (Farrington Park).

Also on 39 points, winning the prize for Best Away pair was Nigel and Polly McGrane.

Age group prizes went to Jordan Rawlings (U18), Brad Smith (U15) and Ethan Batstone (U13).

The girls’ prize went to Eleanor Harvey.

Both ‘nearest the pin’ prizes went to Shane Phillips and his partner Jackson Carey.
