CORSHAM Town have their sights set on keeping afloat with another three points this weekend after moving off the bottom of the Premier Division.
Liam Brown put Trevor Rawlings’ side ahead before full-back Sam Pring doubled Corsham’s lead with a long-range effort that bounced off the crossbar and the opposition goalie’s head before finding its way into the net.
The victory saw Town move up to 16th and they will be aiming not to return to the foot of the table when they travel to strugglers Sherborne Town this weekend.
“We’d been bottom for a while but we’ve won two, lost one, and drawn one of the last four games so we’re not in bad form,” said Rawlings.
“The performances have been good recently and everyone’s sticking together and giving 110 per cent.
“It’s a massive game this weekend. We need a good result to try and get out of this basement battle.”
Defender Ali Rose returned to training this week.
