STRIKER Luke Norris believes that there is much more to come from Swindon Town this season.

The County Ground outfit head to Yeovil Town this afternoon sitting fifth in League Two - five points behind pace-setters Notts County.

And while Town have picked up 18 points from a possible 24 on their travels, they have only claimed 11 of a possible 27 at home.

However, one thing that Town’s top scorer Norris is pleased to see is that Swindon have not to continued to slide following their relegation from League One.

Chesterfield, who went through the trap door with Town last term, currently prop up the Football League, Port Vale, who were also relegated last year, are third from bottom, while Leyton Orient, who relegated from the third tier in 2015 are now playing National League football.

“You always see when a League One side goes down they struggle,” Norris said.

“You have seen that with Leyton Orient, so for us to be where we are at the moment, knowing that we can do so much more as well is positive.

“I think we have acquired the right squad for this league, everyone has got a lot of experience of playing in League One but also this league too.

“I think a few more older heads and bit more experience has helped us out massively.”

Following this afternoon’s trip to Somerset, Flitcroft’s men hit the road again on Tuesday night when they make the unenviable trip to Grimsby Town.

However, Norris, who made his return to action off the bench last weekend following a shoulder injury, knows that these are the places that Town must pick up points if they are achieve their goal of promotion this term.

“I think if you want to win the league or get promoted you have to go to theses places (and do well),” the 24-year-old said.

“We have gone to away games this year and done tremendously well, now we have got back-to-back away games, Yeovil and then Grimsby on a Tuesday, that’s a lot of travelling, but we are looking forward to it.

“We have got great staff in the background who look after us and make sure that we are prepared and do the right things for both games.”
