The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

One to watch: Joe Jacobson

The 30-year-old left-back has proven a real asset to Wycombe so far this season and has contributed at both ends of the pitch.

But the former Cardiff City man has proved to be more dangerous going forward this term, registering three goals and four assists.

Not only will he give Ben Purkiss and Paul Mullin a lot to think about down Swindon’s right-hand side, but he will also pose a threat to Reice Charles-Cook from a free-kick.

The former Shrewsbury Town man’s recent form has seen him better his goal tally over the past three seasons, with only 15 appearances.

Key Battle: Matt Preston v Adebayo Akinfenwa

Despite still being relatively new to the Swindon Town set-up Matt Preston has wasted little time settling into the first XI.

With Preston being the most robust defender, Town may call upon him to match the physicality shown my Akinfenwa, who is accountable for over a third of Wycombe’s league goals by scoring seven and assisting three.

The visiting frontman may strike up some memories for the Town fans, as he almost joined the club in 2005, when Swindon were managed by Paul Sturrock.

The striker had passed the first stage of his medical and agreed a one-year-deal, but failed his second stage, prompting Town to call off the move.
