JASON Doyle lost the lead in the Speedway Grand Prix World Championship as Poland's Bartosz Zmarzlik claimed victory in the Swedish Grand Prix in Malilla last night.

The Swindon Robins skipper was unable to post a heat win on the night as Maciej Janowski claimed fourth place to move five points clear of Doyle at the summit.

Zmarzlik snatched victory from Swedish hero Antonio Lindback on the final turn, with Freddie Lindgren finishing third on his Elitserien home track.

It was Zmarzlik's first victory since becoming the youngest ever SGP winner at the 2014 Gorzow SGP.

Doyle was third in his first race, the opening heat of the night, but failed to register in his second and two more third places ended his hopes of reaching the latter stages.

He rounded off the evening with a second place in his final heat to register five points on the night.

Next up for the FIM Speedway Grand Prix stars is the MIB Nordic Gorzow SGP of Poland on August 26.
