STEVENAGE are asking fans to help them fund the development of their North Stand, which will cost £900,000.

The club already have planning permission for the 1,600-seater stand, as well a Football Foundation grant of £450,000, but are asking fans to contribute to a “mini-bond” scheme to raise the remaining £500,000, with hopes of completing the stand for the start of the 2018-19 season.

The club have set a minimum contribution of £500 and a cap of £25,000 which will then be paid back in full after a five-year period, with September 15 the closing date for applications.

PORT Vale have signed winger Marcus Harness on a season-long loan deal from Burton Albion.

Harness, who was voted Albion’s young player of the year in 2016, made 13 appearances for the Brewers last season and the Championship side have the option to recall the 21-year-old in January.

REPORTS suggest that Championship outfit Brentford have agreed a £1.8million deal to sign Exeter City striker Ollie Watkins.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs over the summer, including Aston Villa and Derby County, but it appears he is set to head to Griffin Park.

Watkins scored 16 times in 52 appearances for Exeter, who were beaten in last season’s play-off final, and he scooped the EFL Young Player gong.

BEN Richards-Everton earned himself a one-year contract with Accrington Stanley, having trained with the club throughout pre-season.

The 25-year-old central defender was released by Dunfermline at the end of last season, having suffered a season-ending knee injury in October.

COLCHESTER United have secured the services of defender Cole Kpekawa.

The 21-year-old has joined for an undisclosed fee from Championship side Barnsley, having ade just seven league appearances since joining the Tykes from Queens Park Rangers last summer.

The left-sided player has signed a one-year deal with the U’s, having has a brief loan spell at the club during the 2014-15 campaign.

SWANSEA City defender Keston Davies has joined Somerset side Yeovil Town on a season-long loan deal.
