WITH the Trowbridge League fielding three of the four Wiltshire Junior Cup semi-finalists, holders Stockton & Codford and Luxol St Andrews met for a place in the April 8 final.

After a goalless 120 minutes and a tense penalty shoot-out it was Luxol who progressed as they kept their nerve from the spot to win 5-3.

Stockton probably had the better of the first 45 minutes with Luxol having the better of the second half.

Both teams had chance in extra time to snatch a winner, but neither could conjure up the all important goal.

Successful penalties from Tom Rooney, Jordan Gullis, Mark Reynolds, Josh Hard and Jed Osbourne along with two penalty saves from keeper Lukasz Bareja saw Luxol book their place in the final.

Three Daggers were unable to make it an all-Trowbridge League final after they suffered a 5-2 defeat at home Swindon League Premier division leaders Tawny Owl, whose win saw them claim a 16th win of the season.

Daggers suffered the worst possible start and were went 2-0 down inside five minutes as they conceded two sloppy goals.

Tawny Owl added a third before Daggers started to get some joy down the wings through Phil Hampson and Ryan Underwood with the latter pulling a goal back before Daggers shipped two more goals to complete a dreadful first half showing.

With the tie won, Tawny Owl relaxed in the second half and Daggers came back into the contest.

Wayne Wheeler had a goal ruled out before finding the net with an effort that counted, but despite dominating large parts of the second period Daggers couldn't create the chances and Owl eased through to the final.
