SWINDON Town have got their swagger back according to first team coach Ross Embleton following Saturday’s win over Bolton Wanderers.

Having recruited four loanees last week to give Luke Williams’ squad a much-needed shot in the arm, Town were able to follow that up with only their second win on the road this season.

Despite going behind to David Wheater’s second-half volley, goals from Ben Gladwin and Yaser Kasim ensured Swindon of their first come-from-behind win this term.

On too many occasions this year, Town have crumbled having gone a goal behind, leading to many, including head coach Williams, to question the mental strength of his squad.

However, with the new additions, Embleton admits there is a different feeling around the club and hopes that can only have a positive effect heading into Saturday’s game with Peterborough United at the County Ground.

“Everything adds to giving everyone a real boost,” said Embleton.

“We’ve gone a while without having experienced a good result. It is a great result in terms of the opposition, where it was and the circumstances it was in.

“To have new players around, it has given everyone a lift and to go and win any game in the last moments is a huge thing for us.

“It gave everyone a lift at training but it gives us a real positive outlook towards the next game.”

Swindon are now unbeaten in their last four outings, having picked up draws against Shrewsbury Town and MK Dons previously, and have not tasted defeat in their last five league outings at the County Ground.

While last Saturday’s result at the Macron Stadium put them no further clear of the League One drop zone – there are still four points separating them and fourth-from-bottom Shrewsbury Town – it did close the gap on those above them, with Gillingham, Northampton Town and Port Vale all within striking distance.

While Peterborough lie 10th heading to Wiltshire this weekend, they have not tasted success in their last four outings and Town will be looking to capitalise on a side who were humbled 5-1 at Bury last weekend.
