A NEW-look Swindon Town side could be a dangerous threat according to Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson.

Town have added four players to their squad in the build-up to their trip to the Macron, with Ben Gladwin returning for a second spell on loan, while Charlie Colkett, Islam Feruz and Fankaty Dabo have all joined on temporary deals from Chelsea.

As a result, Swindon should have a different complexion to the side that succumbed to a late Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill goal when the Trotters visited the County Ground in early October.

With that in mind, Parkinson will be wary of Luke Williams’ side and will not be letting Town’s position, just four points outside the relegation places, deceive him.

“This is a very different Swindon team now – they have signed four players, three of them from Chelsea,” he said.

“Ben Gladwin has come back from QPR and he’s a very decent player at this level who they know well.

“Like a lot of teams down the bottom, you look to change things around and improve. But I think that makes them a dangerous side to play for us at the moment.”

Bolton are one of the form teams in League One, having lost just once in their last 10 outings.

However, in the last month, Parkinson’s side have lost to third-from-bottom Chesterfield and have also been held to a 2-2 draw away to fellow strugglers Coventry City and can ill-afford to slip up again in their chase for an automatic promotion spot.

“We have got to be ready for a real tussle. I can’t emphasise that enough,” he added.

“The atmosphere for games against Scunthorpe and Crystal Palace can take care of itself. Scunthorpe were high-flying, Palace are a Premier League side, this is absolutely crucial for us.”
