Adver sport reporter Matt Edwards rates Swindon Town's players following their 3-2 defeat to Luton Town.

Will Henry: 5

Will be disappointed with spilling the ball for Luton’s first goal but could do nothing about Josh McQuoid’s second or Luton's third.

Rhys Sharpe: 4

Thrown straight into the starting line-up having only signed with the club the same day, struggled with the pace of the game.

Conor Thomas: 4

Really struggled at the back without a recognised centre-back alongside him and his inexperience in the position was exposed.

Darnell Furlong: 3

Was really poor in the first half as he was played out of position in the centre of defence. Was guilty of giving the ball away far too often and slipped at the wrong time for Luton’s third.

Jake Evans: 5

Another played out of position as he occupied the right-back slot and was exposed a lot by Isaac Vassell in the first half and was unable to get forward much.

Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill: 4

Started in a position further forward on the right and switched with Luke Norris mid-way through the first half. Did not do enough to open Luton up down either flank.

Anton Rodgers: 5

Handed the captain’s armband and try to play conductor from the deep central position but was replaced at half time without much real impact.

Johnny Goddard: 6

Was a creative figure for Town as he played a lovely ball for Town’s opener and continued to pull the strings in a deeper role after the break.

Sean Murray: 5

A quiet game from the midfielder as he worked hard but failed to produce much going forward and didn’t aid his defence at the back.

Nathan Delfouneso: 5

Another game where he showed a lot of endeavour but had very few chances fall his way and those half chances were not turned into anything more.

Luke Norris: 7

Took his goal very well with his first chance of the game but was played out wide and did not have as much impact as he would have liked before being replaced at the back

Subs:

Jermaine Hylton (on for Norris 45’): 5

Came on in a wide position but was soon paired up top with Delfouneso and worked hard without seeing too many opportunities on goal

Jordan Young (on for Rodgers 45’): 6

Some nice passes and touches from the youngster but over exuberance cost him in possession on a few occasions.

Ellis Iandolo (on for Ormonde-Ottewill 45’): 7

A fantastic strike from the young midfielder to pull Swindon level in the second half and looked lively but took a knock late on.
