WESTBURY Town saw their fine run of form of late come to an end with a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Semington Magpies.

With the teams set to meet next weekend in the Knockout Cup, after a goalless first half, Semington’s manager Bobby Mitchell made what was to prove a couple of inspired substitutions as his team broke the deadlock with a composed finished from Jordan Field.

Sam Malone fumbled the ball over the line for 2-0.

Jack Hayward’s deflected shot beat the impressive Nick Mead who had an excellent match between the posts for Semington to set up a tense finish which saw Magpies hold on for a fine win.
