SWINDON Town have agreed a fee with League One rivals Charlton Athletic for the sale of star striker Nicky Ajose, according to reports.

The club have also reportedly agreed a deal with Premier League side Liverpool to bring goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux to the County Ground on a permanent basis.

According to BBC Wiltshire, Town have agreed to sell Ajose, who scored 25 goals in all competitions for the club last season, to recently relegated Charlton for a fee in the region of £800,000.

Earlier this month, Town chairman Lee Power revealed the club had turned down a bid of £500,000 from an unnamed Championship side for the player, stating it fell below their valuation.

Ajose returned to Wiltshire last September, signing on a free transfer following the termination of his contract at Leeds United in the Championship and went on to finish as joint top scorer in League One last season with 24 goals.

The 24-year-old former Manchester United youth player has previously stated his desire to try to cut his teeth at a higher level again but will remain in the third tier of English football should he agree personal terms with the Addicks and pass a medical.

Vigouroux spent the 2015/16 season on loan at Town from Anfield and made 36 appearances for the club in all competitions, although he missed the final two months of the campaign due to injury.

Chairman Power has previously claimed that he attempted to sign the 22-year-old Chilean on a permanent basis during the January transfer window but BBC Wiltshire have now reported that he has got his man for a price of around £400,000.
