JORDAN Stewart is making another bid to get over his problems with homesickness and establish himself with Swindon Town.

The Northern Ireland Under 21 international has returned to Wiltshire, having twice returned home to Belfast with homesickness since his switch to the County Ground back in August.

The 20-year-old is yet to make an appearance for Swindon’s first team, despite being involved with a couple of matchday squads.

However he did feature in for a Town development side today, scoring the only goal as they won at Bristol Rovers 1-0 in a Development League Cup South group B clash.

Commenting on Stewart’s most recent return, Town boss Mark Cooper appeared to try and make light of Stewart’s homesickness situation.

Cooper told BBC Wiltshire: "He's back. He's like a yo-yo, we had a bit of fun yesterday and a sweepstake among the boys on how long he would last this time. One or two days?"

Celta Vigo youngster Yelko Pino, who has been training with Town, also played 90 minutes at Rovers, as well as first team squad members Momar Bangoura, Henrik Ojamaa, Will Randall, Lee Marshall, Tyrell Belford, Ellis Iandolo and Jeremy Balmy.
