TOUGH times indeed. Six games without a win, a massive injury crisis and out of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy to our rivals down the road; can it get any worse?

We need to do our bit to prevent a lack of confidence among the players. It’s not looking great, but we must try our best to raise spirits at the home game vs Peterborough on Saturday. We need to dig deep and try to bring back ‘Fortress County Ground’.

It’s not going to be easy.

Onto brighter news and we’ve started to get our first trickle of international supporters signing up to the Red Army Fund. We’ve got a fabulous story involving a supporter from the US which we will share with you in the near future.

If you live overseas and don’t spend cash at the turnstiles very often, the Red Army Fund is a good way to help your club from a distance.

Whilst much of our publicity has been around our plans for the Stratton Bank roof, that really is a long-term objective and there is so much more to consider in the meantime.

We are looking to start work as soon as possible on our “Build the Bank” campaign, where we aim to clear and rebuild the currently unusable Shrivenham Road side turnstile corner of the stadium. We have great plans for that area.

We have hit a hitch in that we need an experienced ground-clearing company to help us tidy up what is a rather run-down piece of land. Our initial idea was to get a group of supporters together to do this, but health and safety issues prevent this from happening.

Whilst we can use some of our funds to hire this help in, it would be much better if anyone knows of a local company that can provide their services for free. We will give you as much publicity as possible in return.

In the current circumstances, we are also particularly keen on doing what we can to grow attendances and bring back some atmosphere. We have pitched a couple of ideas to the club on this and hope to have more to report soon.

We have so much potential, and with additional funding, we can do so much more.
