FORMER Chippenham Town defender Tyrone Mings is poised to join Premier League new boys Bournemouth in a transfer worth up to £8 million, it was reported today.
The left-back, who left Hardenhuish Park in late 2012 to join Championship side Ipswich Town, was today believed to be finalising a move to the south coast side, with winger Ryan Fraser and Brett Pitman heading in the opposite direction from the Cherries.
Ipswich are believed to have paid Chippenham £10,000 for former Southampton academy player Mings, 22, and played a friendly in Wiltshire, but it is understood there is no sell-on clause in place to allow the Bluebirds to benefit from the latest move.
Mings, a former mortgage broker, initially impressed Tractor Boys boss Mick McCarthy during a trial game before his move from Wiltshire was finalised.
