ADVER Sport's guide to Swindon Town's next opponent: Yeovil Town.

The Chalkboard

HAVING only been appointed last week Paul Sturrock is in the process of evaluating his squad.

The former Town boss switched to a 4-3-1-2 mid-match last time out against Sheffield United and it paid off like a dying rich uncle, giving the Glovers their first win in nine.

Sturrock takes a direct approach, with long balls being knocked towards big striker Kieffer Moore to flick on to partner Gozie Ugwu. Alternatively the ball will go into the channels for Ugwu to chase.

Josh Sheehan plays behind the front two, offering support in possession and dropping deeper into midfield when out of it.

The back four are fairly no-nonsense, Stephen Arthurworrey and Byron Webster will look to utilise their physicality to dominate opposition strikers.

Likely Line-up

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

A Man In Form: Sam Foley

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: CELEBRATIONS: Yeovil Town footballer Sam Foley.

THE 28-YEAR-OLD midfielder has been one of the few bright sparks in a dismal season for the Glovers.

Sam Foley is a veteran of the western UK football scene, having had stints at Cheltenham, Kidderminster, Bath City and Newport County. He now seems to have settled down at Yeovil, establishing himself this season as a key player in their midfield.

He is the one screening midfielder who breaks from deep to support his forwards.

Though he may only have notched twice this campaign, the most recent of which came a couple of weeks ago against Chesterfield, that should be taken in the context of Yeovil’s struggle for goals generally.

Foley will try and join Josh Sheehan behind the Glover’s front two, with new boss Paul Sturrock giving him licence to roam to great success in Tuesday night’s shock win against Sheffield United.

The Treatment Room

THE GLOVER’S big miss has been skipper Joe Edwards who might have been able to play a bigger part in the club’s attempt to retain League One status had he not suffered back-to-back ankle injuries.

Edwards initially missed a large chunk of February after suffering the initial injury against Crewe in February. He returned against Leyton Orient over a month later, but suffered a relapse two games later.

There is a chance he could be back in the squad  at the County Ground, but with boss Paul Sturrock looking to build for next season Edwards could be gently nursed back to full fitness over the summer.

Simon Gillett is another long-term absentee with a knee problem. He last featured way back in January against Manchester United in the glamour FA Cup tie.

Stopper Chris Weale recently returned from a foot injury and should be on the bench on Saturday.
Finally striker Adam Morgan is another on the long-term injury list, with a foot complaint.
