PETE Russell's Great Britain ice hockey side have won their second game at the World Championships with a 2-1 win over Estonia.

Nottingham Panthers forward Robert Farmer netted a late game-winning goal as Great Britain continued their perfect start to their Division 1B group in the Netherlands.

After Monday's dramatic 3-2 overtime victory over Croatia, Peter Russell's men made it two wins in a row and moved to five points following Farmer's clincher at 54.10.

Estonia squandered a chance to take the lead at 13.56 when Robert Rooba missed his penalty shot, with Belfast Giants defenceman David Phillips making him pay by giving GB the lead 100 seconds later - Russell Cowley (Coventry Blaze) marking his 50th cap with an assist.

Rooba, though, made amends at 33.19 when he tied the game up before Farmer poked the puck in following a goalmouth scramble to win it for Britain.

After Wednesday's rest day, Britain return to action on Thursday against Korea before matches with the Netherlands on Saturday and Lithuania a day later.
