ALLAN Clarke’s White Horse side will go into next week's top of the table clash with leaders Holt knowing that nothing more than a victory over Ben Hogg’s side will be good enough if they are to have any chance of claiming back-to-back titles.

After falling 2-0 behind to United FC, Clarke’s men came good as they turned things around in the second half to claim a 5-2 win which keeps them in with a chance of overtaking their rivals at the summit.

With player-manager Clarke stepping in for the injured Andy Ladd between the post he was found wanting as goals from Jozef Zapotoczny and Shavon Allen gave United a 2-0 lead before Jordan Gullis managed to haul White Horse back into the game with a goal just before half time.

White Horse won a penalty on 65 minutes when Mike Hill was felled in the area and Dale Rowland made no mistake from the spot to tie things up at two each.

Darren Fryer got himself on the end of an excellent team move to put White Horse 3-2 ahead and when Stuart Barber scored with a rare headed effort 10 minutes from time, United were a beaten side.

Despite their best efforts United were unable to prevent White Horse from adding a fifth late on, Jordan Gullis scoring from close range to claim his second of the game and seal victory for his side.

On a day that saw five of their regular players away on a stag do, Trowbridge Wanderers Reserves enjoyed the sunshine in their final game of the season at Trowbridge Cricket Club where they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of leaders Holt.

With top goal scorer Will Bayley in goal and a rare start for manager Matt Rusling, Wanderers were always going to be up against it but some solid defending which frustrated Holt held the villagers to a goalless first half as they found the impressive Bayley hard to beat.

However sandwiched between two superb one-on-one saves he was beaten by Jed Osborne whose third goal of the season gave Holt their victory.
