ADVER SPORT'S COMPLETE GUIDE TO TOWN'S NEXT OPPONENT: GILLINGHAM

The Chalkboard

SINCE joining the Gills from Newport County at the start of February, Justin Edinburgh has been quick to imprint his style onto the team.

The 45-year-old has tried to introduce a higher tempo pressing game, but he has not needed to change a great deal with the line-up.

Gillingham will not head to Wiltshire with the aim to park the bus at the County Ground. The boss preferring an attacking approach, where Bradley Dack will be given licence to play behind the front two.

Like Mark Cooper, he likes to see his players play with creativity and smile on their face, which should add up to an open game tonight.

Likely Line-Up

John Marquis' loan to Gillingham is his sixth
spell away from parent club Millwall

STRIKER John Marquis has been in prolific form since joining on loan from Championship side Millwall.

The 22-year-old joined the Kent club on transfer deadline day to replace, fan favourite, Danny Kedwell who moved to Ebbsfleet United.

He has gone on to score six goals in his eight appearances.

The young striker is out of contract with the Lions at the end of the season and Gillingham are already trying to seal him to a deal, with Ian Holloway already admitting that Marquis is not in his future plans.

This is the forward’s sixth spell on loan but it is the first time he has found a rich vein of form in front of goal.

Treatment Room

The only injury worry Justin Edinburgh has to worry about ahead of tonight’s game is Bradley Garmston.

The 21-year-old, on loan from West Bromwich Albion, was forced off during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Barnsley with a hamstring injury.

Joe Martin is expected to replace him in the left-back position.

The experienced defender has not started since the end of January when he limped off during the Bristol City game with an ankle injury.
