TOWN striker Miles Storey's loan move to Newport County was rubber-stamped this morning.

Storey, 21, could make his first appearance for the Exiles in tomorrow's League Two clash with Shrewsbury - with whom he spent time on loan in February and March of last year - at Rodney Parade, subject to international clearance.

The Swindon Advertiser reported yesterday that the Welsh side would confirm Storey's switch this morning, with County confirming the initial one-month switch via a statement this morning.

The statement from Newport County confirmed the signing of Storey and revealed that his signing was partly funded by the 100 Club, a fan scheme to help boost County's transfer coffers:

"Newport County AFC is pleased to announce that Swindon Town's Miles Storey has joined the club on a one month loan deal.

"Subject to international clearance Miles will be eligible to play in this weekends fixture with Shrewsbury Town at Rodney Parade, a club he once played for on loan during February and March of 2014.

"Miles was previously on loan at Portsmouth FC this season making 22 appearances with 17 appearances in the Sky Bet Football League 2. Miles will wear the number 20 shirt during his spell with Newport County AFC.

"We'd also like to thank the 100 Club whose donations have made this signing possible."

Storey, who will wear shirt number 20 for the Exiles, had a spell on loan at Portsmouth earlier this season.
