FORMER Swindon Town striker Billy Bodin has joined League Two Northampton Town until the end of the season.
Bodin, the son of County Ground legend Paul, scored three times in 11 starts for Swindon before joining Torquay United on loan, for whom he netted five times in just under 20 appearances.
The 22 year old then played nine games on loan with Crewe before joining Torquay permanently, making 66 starts and seven substitute appearances and scoring six goals.
Bodin suffered a knee ligament injury at the end of last season but has been training at Sixfields and has been offered a deal having proved his fitness.
The Cobblers previously made a move to sign Swindon striker Miles Storey on loan, but the move broke down last week with the clubs unable to agree a financial package.
Been a long 8 months out with injury but glad to have signed for @ntfc Big thanks to everyone who have helped me through my rehab 👍⚽️ #NTFC
