DEVIZES Ladies signed off for Christmas in style with a bonus point win in their South West North Two clash against 12-man opponents.
The lack of opposition numbers meant the home side also started short-handed but they were ahead within five minutes as Kate Stradling finished off a rumble by the forwards and Denise Warburton landed the first of five conversions.
The next try came from a brilliant break by Emma Matthews and, from the resulting maul, captain Sarah Ennis went over out wide.
Gordano responded with two tries but, sandwiched in between, Georgia Walker scored an individual effort for a 17-10 half-time lead.
A third Gordano try, converted, levelled the scores after the break but Devizes’ Danielle Allison went under the posts, closely followed by scrum-half Sam Powell, both converted by Warburton.
Fly-half Alice Bowerbank added her own individual try, converted by Warbutton and Hannah Winkworth also touched down, Warburton adding the extras.
