TOWN boss Mark Cooper is expecting Harry Toffolo to improve even further after the Norwich youngster agreed to sign on until the end of the season.

Toffolo has impressed in his seven appearances since joining the County Ground side on an initial one-month loan spell in the middle of October.

That stint finished after Saturday's 2-1 League One win at Peterborough, in which the 19 year old left-back set up the opening goal for Andy Williams. With the newly-minted extension the Canaries' youngster will now remain with Cooper's squad for the remainder of the campaign.

Having successfully given Toffolo a shot at first-team football, Cooper is expecting the England age-group defender to develop even more in his prolonged spell at the club.

“He’s another good young player that has come here to get some experience,” said Cooper.

“We’ve given him that opportunity and he has taken it. On Saturday he looked a little bit tired but that happens. When you come into a first team environment and you play an amount of games you can have a little dip.

“He’s been brilliant for us and I’m sure in games to come he will get even better.

“He’s got everything to be a top-class left-sided defender. He can get forward, he can get back, he can play, he can tackle, he can head, he’s got all the tools and hopefully we can give him the opportunities to put all of that on the pitch.”

Toffolo expressed his delight at the news this morning, tweeting: "Delighted to have extended my loan until the end of the season!!! Exciting times ahead!! Push for promotion!!''
