SWINDON Wildcats star Aaron Nell wants to see his side find their form at the Link Centre with their next three matches in front of their own fans.

Wildcats are looking to build on Sunday’s 4-1 success at Bracknell Bees and finally give their own supporters something to cheer about.

Ryan Aldridge’s men have yet to taste victory against an English Premier League side on their own ice this term and the former Great Britain man is determined to put things right - starting with tomorrow’s visit from Sheffield Steeldogs.

“Sunday was a big win for us - it was 4-1 but it could have quite easily been six, seven or 8-1,” Nell said.

“We need to build on that now. We played well on the Sunday and to be honest we played well on the Saturday (against Guildford), even though we lost. We have now got three massive games at home now and we need to do well.

The former Sheffield Steelers man believes that Cats have finally managed to shake off the effects of their chastising 7-2 home loss to Peterborough.

“That game took a lot out of us,” Nell said. “That was a game that we should have been winning - but we were terrible. That put us under a lot of pressure and then the next night we had to go to Telford and they got revenge on us.

“We have had a difficult start and hopefully we have now turned a corner.”

Following tomorrow’s visit of the Steeldogs, Cats welcome Basingstoke Bison to the Link Centre in an EPL match which also counts towards the Challenge Cup standings.

Swindon currently sit in third place in their cup group with Basingstoke one place and three points behind.

The Hampshire side, last season’s play-off champions, are second in the EPL with Swindon seventh.

“If we can start to win our home games then that can that will give us a breather in our games on the road,” Nell added.
