THREE Swindon Wildcats have been selected for the Great Britain under 20s World Championships squad.

D-man Callum Buglass (18), along with forwards Ollie Betteridge (18) and Floyd Taylor (19) have received the call-up after impressing in the early stages of this season, as well as during September's GB training camp.

All three will now also feature against the Nottingham Lions in a warm up game being staged during November.

The tournament takes place in Tallinn this December and runs from Sunday, December 7 to Saturday, December 13 and will see GB face hosts Estonia as well as Korea, Lithuania, Netherlands and Romania.

Wildcats head coach Ryan Aldridge believes the international recognition for his three young stars is fully deserved.

"This is great news for all three of the players," said Aldridge.

"They've all been playing well this season and fully deserve to be in the GB squad.

"Each one of them is a talented guy and they have great futures ahead of them, so the experience they will gain being part of the set-up will be massive in terms of their development."

Former Wildcats bench coach Peter Russell, who is currently head coach of the GB U20s was in positive mood after revealing his squad, saying: "Selecting a team is never easy but that's the fun part. We can and will get the very best out of this group.

"They all want to be here and are proud to have the opportunity to play for GB.

"I like the feeling in the group and there work ethic.

"We have strong goaltending who will help our D-core and at time bail us our when required.

"Our offence has good speed, skill and decent size."
