SWINDON Wildcats roared back to winning ways after a Tomasz Malasinski hat-trick secured them a 4-0 win away to Telford Tigers.

After a goalless first period a quick-fire double from Malasinski added to the opener from, newly appointed captain, Jan Kostal to put the visitors in a commanding position.

The hosts, who were without five players from their original roster, pushed in the third period for a way back into the game but Malasinski secured his first triple of the season with just a minute left on the clock.

It looked like Wildcats started where they left off at Sheffield, creating plenty of chances in the first period but they could not find a way past, former Wildcats stopper, Thomas Murdy.

Swindon conceded the first penalty of the match when Bullas was sent off for two minutes for boarding, but the hosts were unable to make the most of the man advantage.

The best chance came after seven minutes after Bullas’ shot was parried by the keeper and youngster Michael Stratford was unable to put the re-bound in the net.

There was a big goal mouth scramble after ten minutes with Malasinski, Nell and Harding all trying to get the puck in the net, but they all ended up in a big heap with the puck safely under Murdy.

The breakthrough came for the visitors in the 23rd minute when Henri Sandvik was able to intercept and leave Wildcats with a three on one situation, He charged at the net but saw his shot blocked, but skipper Kostal was on hand to prod the puck home at the far corner.

Following the goal Lyle’s net came under some serious pressure but that was eased on 33 minutes when Malasinski caught Telford on the break and fired home from wide on the right.

The Polishman then doubled his tally for the evening just two minutes later when, during a power play, Aaron Nell set him up to send the Wildcats into the second break with a three goal cushion.

Telford pushed for a goal in the third period, with Swindon seemingly happy to invite the pressure, but the hosts were restricted to long range efforts and never looked like troubling Lyle.

Swindon secured the win a minute from time when they made the most of a five-on-three power play when Harding set up Malasinski for his third of his game.
