Robins' number one rider Peter Kildemand believes the play-offs have come just at the right time for his side.

The Dane was the clubs rider of the year when they lifted the league title two years ago and his experience will prove invaluable for Swindon this time out.

However, Kildemand will be looking to put a disappointing week behind him after missing out on a place in the 2015 Grand Prix series was followed up by a poor performance in the Elite League Riders Championship where he failed to claim a win and retired from two races before opting out of his final heat.

The Robins head into the play-offs on good form and Kildemand says there is an air of confidence amongst the riders but they are fully aware of the challenge facing them and they won’t take their opponents in Coventry lightly.

“The timing is good because everybody is really performing in the team at the moment so we have to keep that up,” said Kildemand.

“The last meet with Coventry is one time only this season, we go into this meeting looking to take all the points we can.

“If we do lose then we must only lose by four or five points.

“This is definitely going to be a hard task for us but I think if we can keep up our performances we can do well.”
