CHIPPENHAM Town central defender Tom Seery has left Hardenhuish Park to join Yate Town.

Seery becomes the third player to depart Hardenhuish Park this week, following the exit of captain Scott Rogers, while winger Brandon Barnes has gone on a month's loan to Paulton Rovers.

Town signed former Bristol Rovers academy centre-half Seery, 19, who also played for Oldland Abbotonians and Weston-Super-Mare, in July as player-boss Nathan Rudge rebuilt his squad after taking over from Adie Mings.

But despite featuring in pre-season matches, the 19-year-old was largely a mainstay on the bench, making just three substitute appearances, including the league defeat at Frome in August and the FA Trophy triumph over Swindon Supermarine in September.

He last appeared as an injury-time substitute for striker Alan Griffin on the bench in the 3-1 FA Cup third round qualifying victory over Badshot Lea in early October.

The Bluebirds travel to St Albans City in the league tomorrow (3pm).
