EMERALDS Boxing Club took three boxers for contests in Taunton on Saturday evening.
Eleven year old Jake Edwards featured in his first senior bout, getting off to a fast start against the host club's Owen Tate.
Constantly pressuring his taller opponent throughout the three one-and-a-half-minute rounds, he earned a unanimous points victory
Older sister Elouise, 12, was also having her first bout against Taunton's Chloe Passmore.
Offloading sharp jabs followed up with solid rights, Edwards left the referee with no option other than to call a halt to
Johnny Ward, 17, was matched against Taunton's Ashley Foote but boxed with great skill and hardly took a punch throughout the contest, his blistering speed and powerful combinations earning him a unanimous points decision and the show's best boxer on the night.
Emeralds have a dinner show booked for Saturday, April 21st at the Neeld Hall in Chippenham.
