MALMESBURY racer Louis Harvey brought home another second-place finish at the 2017 Rissington Championship.

The 12 year old is competing nationally in the Super One Series this year, but has continued to support the Gloucestershire’s track competition and, starting heat one from the back of the grid, quickly charged through the pack to third position.

Starting third in heat two, Harvey crossed the line in second spot despite an overheated clutch and was quickly into second spot in the final heat, which he held until three laps from the end when he took the lead and drove a faultless final few laps to claim a decisive win.

Harvey lined up on the front row next to fellow SuperOne driver James Pashley but, after some bumping in the first corner, Pashley broke away, leaving a five-kart battle for the remaining podium positions.

Harvey battled fellow Junior TKM friend Dominic Kilmister for second spot, holding on until the chequered flag.

Harvey will be competing in round three of the Super One Series at Clay Pigeon Raceway in Dorchester this weekend.
