MARLBOROUGH wrapped up their GoCrea8 League Central One title-winning campaign in style by ensuring a 100 per cent home record with a 5-1 victory over second-placed Team Bath Buccs C.

The home side secured their 11th straight home win as a campaign which saw them drop just seven points concluded with them toasting winning the division by a 17-point margin.

Marlborough took the lead when Mark Kinder fired across the circle and Will Hughes turned the ball home, but the visitors were soon back on level terms.

The home side regained the advantage when vice-captain Will Radnedge went on a trademark run before firing the ball into the circle where Kinder deflected over the keeper and it was 3-1 before half-time when captain Anil Sud smashed in a well-placed short corner.

Sud extended the lead in the second half after a one-two with Matt Way before Radnedge, in what was probably his final game for the club, carried the ball through tackles before finishing into the top corner.

On a day of celebration for the club, the A team also secured the East Central One crown as they ended their campaign with a 2-2 draw at Team Bath Buccs.

Devizes ended their Conference North season with a 6-0 thrashing of county rivals Chippenham.

Despite a strong Chippenham start, Devizes went in at the break ahead when Andy Tookey was fouled and Roger Edwards dispatched the penalty flick.

In the second half, Edwards finished as short corner before Ollie Smith and Jude Coates scored two goals apiece.

In West Clubs Women’s League Wessex Division Two, Devizes Ladies lost 5-4 at City of Bath 3, with goals from Soraya Pegden, Lindsey Walker, Sophie Garbutt and Emma Philimore.
