CHIPPENHAM Angling held their last club match on the town section, which produced a winning weight of 24lbs 13ozs for Guy Manners.
Joint second was Mike Martin and with Ian Liddell, who claimed the club championship prize, as they both collected 12lbs 14ozs.
Other placings: 4 Martin Dolman 12lbs 4ozs; 5 Kevin Williams 11lbs 13ozs; 6 Alex Hyde 11lb 12ozs. Ian Liddell won the club championship.
- THE penultimate match in the ‘River Series’ organised by Premier Angling on the Avon at Bradford on Avon was won by Dave Baker with 11lbs 10ozs of chub to wrap up the series with one match to go.
Other placings: 2 Gary Etheridge, 11lbs 2ozs; 3 Andy Pratten 8lbs 3ozs; 4 Tony Scott 8lbs; 5 Jim Escott 6lbs 8ozs; 6 James Carty 5lbs 3ozs.
- AVON Angling Club’s open match on the Avon at Melksham was won by Martin Barret with 8lbs 13ozs.
