CHIPPENHAM Kickboxing Academy chief instructor Annabelle Shoob lifted the WRSA Ladies 55-57kgs international title after winning her latest contest against France’s Laury Vico.
Shoob was facing her opponent for a third time, with each having claimed a triumph, but won five rounds to be crowned champion.
She is next set to battle for the WRSA 55-57kg English title a week on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the club’s youngsters tasted success at a championship league event.
Seven-year-old Anna Doig clinched a victory but Jacob Connerty, also seven, was edged out by a single point, but still put up an excellent performance in what was his debut fight.
Eight-year-old Ewan Doig emerged from a tough fight against a bigger opponent with a victory, while seven-year-old Chloe Selley, also fighting in her first contest, was another victor.
