WILTSHIRE rider Anne Dunham tonight took her Rio Paralympic medal tally to three with a second individual silver medal in the para dressage events.

Dunham, who will be 68 later this month, secured her 10th career Paralympic medal by winning the individual freestyle silver medal behind compatriot Sophie Christiansen, who moved onto eight Paralympic career gold medals after making it a hat-trick of successes.

“I’m absolutely chuffed, flying high,'' she said.

"It’s been a fantastic event, the scores have got better and better and he’s got stronger and stronger. We really enjoyed it today and we’re very lucky within our country to have great owners who support us.”

Christiansen, who had already picked up Team Championship and Individual Championship Test Grade Ia gold, finished top of the leaderboard in the individual freestyle test, riding Athene Lindebjerg, one place ahead of teammate Dunham on LJT Lucas Normark.

Christiansen's winning score of 79.700 per cent was 3.65 per cent better than Dunham who finished on 76.050 with Brazil’s Sergio Oliva taking the bronze on 75.150.

Dunham also finished as runner up to Christiansen in the Individual Championship while she was also part of the gold-medal winning team.

Meanwhile, Corsham swimmer Stephanie Millward was unable to add to her three-strong medal collection at the Rio Games tonight as she finished fifth in the final of the women's S8 50m freestyle.

Millward had set a new Games record as she powered home fastest in this morning's heat in 30.82.

But despite improving on that time in the final, the 34 year old found herself touched out as Australia's Maddison Elliott set a new world record of 29.73 to take gold from compatriot Lekeisha Patterson and China's Shengnan Jiang, with Britain's Stephanie Slater in fourth.
