MORE than 2000 young athletes will descend on the Marlborough College campus for tomorrow's Wiltshire and Swindon School Games Finals.
The event features 14 different sports and is the conclusion of a year-round school sport competition.
The opening ceremony includes a demonstration of Parkour (freerunning) and dance performances from Westwood and Iford Primary Schools.
The athletes will also be joined by Swindon swimmer and Olympian Grant Turner plus 1968 Olympic 300m hurdles gold medalist David Hemery.
The event is co-ordinated by Wiltshire and Swindon Sport, whose CEO Steve Boocock said: “The School Games, supported by the National Lottery, are an opportunity to motivate and inspire young people across Wiltshire and Swindon to take part in more competitive school sport.”
