THE Wiltshire School Games primary football level three competition took place at Stanley Park, Chippenham.

The small competition saw 10 schools taking part - Netheravon, Hilmarton, Holt, North Bradley, New Forest, St Nicholas, Crudwell and King William Street - with All Cannings the winners ahead of Chiseldon.

In the girls’ competition, the final was decided on penalties, with Shaw Ridge beating Minety 3-2 on spot-kicks. Ramsbury, The Avenue, The Mead, Bemerton St John, Nursteed, Holy Cross, Redlands and Downton also took part.

Malmesbury and Lawn contested the final of the large schools’ event, where Malmesbury claimed victory.

The winning schools will go to the regional finals at Odd Down Sports Centre, Bath, on April 23. Tournament matches were officiated by young leaders from Abbeyfield School.
