CHIPPENHAM Synchro ASC triumphed last weekend at the annual Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) South West recreational routine competition for synchronised swimming in Gloucester.
The club, which trains every week at The Olympiad, Monkton Park in Chippenham, entered two teams in the free combination 12 years and under category, competing against rivals from Bristol, Taunton Deane and St. Austell.
Chippenham ASC A team scooped a silver medal for their performance to music from the popular musical Annie, just three points below gold medal winners Bristol Central ASC.
The B team won a very well-deserved bronze medal for their fun routine to Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ featuring Bruno Mars.
In the free combination 13-14 years competition, Chippenham won silver and in the 15-17 years category, the team won a respectable 3rd place.
