ROSS Langdon lifted the Hills Wiltshire Professionals’ Championship at Marlborough Golf Club.
Langdon, formerly of South Cerney but now playing out of Gloucester, beat Salisbury & South Wilts ace Andy Beal in a sudden-death play-off after the 36-hole event.
Overall both players finished their day on level par to force the play-off over holes 10 and 18.
Langdon’s birdie on the par five 10th hole secured him a two-shot victory.
After the morning round Beal was leading by one-under-par, second place was a tie between Simon Shanks (Bowood) and Ross McCance, of Chippenham, both on one-over par.
Mark Sandry (Broome Manor), Craig Bell (Cumberwell Park), Barry Forster (North Wilts) and Graham Laing (North Wilts) were all tied for third on two-over.
Langdon was tied in fifth place with Dan Carter of Upavon GC, and Henry Pallas of Hamptworth GC but a total of six birdies in his second round helped him into the play-off.
