Bathampton’s Andy Britt was next 7 lb 15 oz of roach and skimmers and Jeff Surman, from Keynsham, third with 6 lb 10 oz of roach and skimmers.

SUNDAY’S Airsprung Open match on the Beehive stretch of the Kennet & Avon canal was won by Andrew Fox, from Hilperton, with 2l 2 oz of small roach and skimmers.

Bill Turner, from Trowbridge, took runner up spot with another roach and skimmers catch weighing 1 lb, with Adrian McTiffin, from Melksham, third with 12 oz of roach and gudgeon.

THE Calne Air Ambulance Open match at Hazeland on Sunday went to Richard Faithful, from Newbury, with 18 lb 8 oz of chub.

Shane Belcher, from Calne, was runner up with 9 ln 1 oz of chub followed by Martin Dolman, from Calne, with 5 lb of chub and dace.

SUNDAY’S Wilts Angling Open match on the Town Pounds of the Kennet & Avon Canal at Devizes saw Andy Jones, from Devizes, win with 7 lb 1 oz of roach and skimmers.

There was a tie for runner up spot between Martin Barrett, from Trowbridge, and Andy Langham, from Devizes, with 6 lb 1 oz.
