CHIPPENHAM Moonraker club gymnasts were in the thick of the medal hunt at the West Country League final in Melksham.

Megan Jones placed in the top ten in every event.

Moonraker finished a clear second in the final rankings, a point behind top spot.

The senior B team of Dominique Cator, Maisie Russell, Grace Bellamy, Katie Strange, Holly Hope and Morgan Sanderson finished with bronze medals.

The team as a whole took the top score on the vault, with Morgan Sanderson taking the individual top spot.

The team placed third on both beam and floor, Moonraker finishing behind teams from Liberty Gymnastics in Frome and the Cardiff Olympic Club.

The Moonraker club competition takes place on Sunday at the Olympiad in Chippenham.
