WILTSHIRE swimmer Jazz Carlin qualified second fastest from the women's 200m freestyle heats as the British Gas Swimming Championships got under way in Glasgow this morning.
Former Wootton Bassett School pupil Carlin, who will swim for Wales at the Commonwealth Games in the city later this year, clocked 1:58.37 as Bath's Siobhan-Marie O’Connor smashed her personal best to lead the qualifiers from the opening session.
Melksham's Rachel Williams clocked 2:02.60 for 17th overall.
In the women's 400m individual medley heats, Warminster's Daniella Whiting was 13th, stopping the clock in 4:56.57.
