HONOURS were even at Stanley Park as FC Chippenham Youth and Westbury Spitfires drew 3-3.

Westbury had opened their campaign by defeating champions Warm-inster, but Chippenham made a fine start when good running by Sam Costain and Nathan Howell set up Christian Frimpong for the opener.

Frimpong then followed up his own shot to volley home from a tight angle and increase his side’s lead after just five minutes.

Westbury got themselves back in the game five minutes before half time when Chippenham keeper Tadgh Feerick touched a penalty on to the post, only to see the follow-up netted.

Chippenham hit straight back a minute later when Frimpong completed his hat-trick.

Westbury hit back well with two goals to level and although both sides had chances to win it, the match remained level.

TROWBRIDGE Town continued their excellent start to the season with a hard-fought 4-1 victory at Melksham Town Youth.

An even first half saw chances limited, but trowbridge took control after the break.

Joe Blais latched onto a Melksham clearance to calmly lob the keeper and they soon added a second through Connor McKay, who then scored another when he fired home from the edge of the box.

Melksham pulled a goal back but McKay sealed the victory with his third when he raced onto a Blais pass to slot home.

DEVIZES Town A and Biddestone shared a 1-1 draw.

Devizes started the brighter with both Ciaran Webster and Elliott Forster’s long-range efforts being denied by sharp saves.

After a goalless first half, Biddestone took the lead midway through the second period, but Devizes finally got a deserved equaliser when, following good work in midfield from Cameron Reader, Callum Kibble let rip with a 20-yard shot which flew into the top corner.
