Calne beat Melksham 4-0 in a very well contested cup final match that started with a hard fought first half with constant exchanges of possession as both teams fought hard to dominate.

Calne came closest to scoring first with a clear chance on goal being missed from 10 yards by Josh Eades.

Melksham then came close to scoring with a great strike on goal from Jack Ewer which was brilliantly tipped over the bar by goal keeper Craig Edwards.

The deadlock was finally broken by Calne left midfielder Mike Hill who was working tirelessly on the flanks.

Stuart Windsor, Calnes most versatile player today in a strikers role made it 2 nil just before half time.

The second half saw Melksham apply pressure by pushing men forward but were caught on the break by a sintilating run from right mid-fielder Josh Eades whose cross proved to be devasting as a shot into the bottom left corner.

The match was sealed by a well worked goal from Calne with Stuart Windor adding a second to his tally.
