Football: A single goal was enough for Pewsey to collect the points in this first
encounter with near neigbours Trowbridge Town, with the second match in four days being played at Trowbridge on Tuesday 15th April.
Trowbridge had a good chance to open the scoring on the sixth minute
a free kick given for hand ball against the Vale defender Andrew Deery
taken by Ashley Benison, had the Vale goalstopper Steward Thompson
streaching to his left to tip the ball away.
Then a let off for the visitors,Scott Ward won the ball, and seeing the
keeper Lewis Porter off his line, chipped over his head, only to see his
shot hit the post.

The deadlock was broken, when James Hambridge slotted the ball past
Porter, after Ryan Banks set him up on the 29th minute.
Trowbridge had chances to get back into the match, but was denied by
the safe hands of Thompson.
The Vale's Nick Woodward, had a good chance in the final minute, but put
his shot wide on the post.
This result now set up the Tuesday night match as a match to watch,as
Trowbridge with an outside chance of the tittle, will want the three points
against their Wiltshire rivals, who have been more consistant of late.
