with a slender 2-1 victory over Swindon Town Ladies. There were lots of
chances for both sides in both halves but the half time score was 0-0.
The second half was end to end again with Devizes taking the lead with
a well-taken goal from Lauren Walker. Both teams pressed for more goals
and it was Swindon who equalized with a speculative effort from in side
the half way line which caught every body out and bounced over the
keeper and into the net. With 5 minutes to go Devizes got the second goal
after sustained pressure. The goal came form a superb solo run by captain,
Amy Longo and a neat pass to Lauren Walker to side foot in for her second
goal and what proved to be the winner. Their opponents will be Wootton
Bassett Town Youth who romped to a 6-0 victory over Chippenham Town Ladies
